  • Team Liquid PH country manager Mitch Liwanag believes Amazon Prime’s Esports World Cup docuseries will serve as an eye-opener for parents still hesitant about letting their children pursue careers in esports.

The docuseries features the personal life of Team Liquid PH's 18-year-old experience laner Sanford "Sanford" Vinuya and serves as a prelude to the Mid Season Cup 2025 this July in Riyadh, where a $3 million prize pool is at stake.

“This is a good opening for aspiring players. This is also for parents, on how to support them [players] and become open-minded. This is not just a game; it is actually a good future for their kids. For me, this educates people outside esports on how big this is right now,” said Liwanag.

Beyond inspiring fellow gamers, Sanford said the docuseries will raise awareness about Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, especially with the Esports World Cup showcasing major titles like DOTA, League of Legends, Counter-Strike, Valorant, Apex Legends, and more.

“This is to motivate and give knowledge to those who are not aware of the MLBB community. This is also to inspire players who are in the same situation as mine. Keep doing what you are doing,” Sanford added.
