At least six more senatorial candidates have filed their statements of contributions and expenditures (SoCE) as of Thursday, according to data from the Commission on Elections (Comelec).
The latest filers include former Defense chief Norberto Gonzales, vlogger-doctor Willie Ong, ACT-Teachers Representative France Castro, Senator-elect Vicente Sotto III, lawyer Angelo de Alisan and Jerome Adonis.
Former Executive Secretary Victor Rodriguez, who served under President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., was the first to submit his SoCE on 23 May.
Additionally, six more party-list groups — Manila Teachers, Angat, ACT-Teachers, Nanay, Buhay and Kabayan — have filed their SoCEs along with the Akay National Party.
All candidates, political parties and partylist groups are required to file their SoCEs within 30 days of the election, with a deadline of 11 June.
Comelec has said that there will be no extension to this deadline and failure to submit SoCEs can lead to administrative charges or permanent disqualification.
Submissions are accepted on weekdays and Saturdays, including holidays, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
All SoCEs must be submitted in the required number of hard copies, accompanied by a soft or electronic copy in both PDF and Excel formats. Submissions via registered mail, electronic mail, courier or messenger services are not permitted.
