Rose, the woman who went viral after being seen emerging from a drainage system in Makati City, was spotted on Friday (May 30) purchasing supplies for the sari-sari store she plans to open using livelihood assistance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
Opening a sari-sari store has long been Rose’s dream — a step toward building a sustainable income and leaving behind the hardships of life on the streets.
She is among the families and individuals in street situations (FISS) reached by the DSWD.
