Twenty-seven original cast members of the hit Broadway musical Hamilton will perform at the Tony Awards on 8 June.
Lin-Manuel Miranda, Phillipa Soo, Daveed Diggs, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Christopher Jackson, Leslie Odom Jr., Ariana DeBose and Jonathan Groff will be among the other original ensemble members to hit the stage.
Goldsberry, who portrayed the role of Angelica Schuyler, will co-host the pre-show alongside Darren Criss.
It has not been announced what song they will perform.
Hamilton, with book, music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, premiered on Broadway in August 2015 to wide critical and audience acclaim. It is based on Ron Chernow’s biography on the American founding father Alexander Hamilton.
The musical, whose score blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B and Broadway, is directed by Thomas Kail, with choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire.
Since its premiere in 2015, Hamilton has received an array of accolades including 11 Tony Awards, seven Olivier Awards, the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and the 2016 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theatre Album.
