Team Liquid PH advances to upper bracket final with reverse sweep

Team Liquid PH is advancing to the upper bracket final of the MPL Season 15 Playoffs following a hard-fought win over Team Falcons this Thursday evening at Green Sun Hotel in Makati.

KarlTzy, Sanford, Sanji, Jaypee, and Oheb were down 0-2 at the start of the series and were one defeat away from being sent to the lower bracket.

Team Liquid PH, however, mounted a comeback with epic plays and clean drafting, winning three straight games to claim the best-of-five thriller.

"We lost trust in ourselves when we were down 0-2," a teary Team Liquid PH coach Rodel "Ar Sy" Cruz revealed after the match.

"I am just happy because in Game 5, the entire team gave me their full trust to make all the calls. It all worked out, so it is a good feeling."

Team Liquid PH will meet the defending champion and M6 world champion ONIC PH tomorrow in the upper bracket at 3:00 PM.

Team Falcons and Aurora, meanwhile, will face off in a do-or-die match in the lower bracket semifinal at 7:00 PM.
