A not guilty plea was entered by the sport utility vehicle (SUV) driver in the fatal car crash incident at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) before the Pasay Regional Trial Court on Tuesday.

Charges of reckless imprudence resulting in two counts of homicide, multiple physical injuries, and damage to property was filed against the driver.

On 4 May, the SUV driven by the 47-year-old man from Batangas crashed into the Departure West Curbside Area of NAIA Terminal 1, according to the Philippine National Police-Aviation Security Group (AVSEGROUP).

Authorities said the black SUV rammed into the departure area of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 on Sunday morning, resulting in the deaths of two people.

Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon said there were two who died including a very young five-year-daughter of an overseas Filipino worker.

The report also stated there were three injured and brought to San Juan de Dios Hospital.

Among the injured rushed to the hospital for treatment was the mother of the five-year-old child who died. They were in the airport to send off the father, an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW), before his trip.
