The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) officially launched the Kadiwa ng Pangulo (KNP) program at Camp Karingal, offering government-subsidized goods at lower prices to police personnel and their families.
Acting QCPD director Police Col. Randy Glenn Silvio led the launch event, which was attended by Joyce Mojica Bengo, division chief of the Marketing Development Division of the Department of Agriculture’s Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Service (AMAS).
Bengo underscored the historical significance of the Kadiwa program in enhancing food security and supporting Filipino farmers.
She also highlighted the strong collaboration between the Department of Agriculture (DA) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) in making affordable, farm-fresh produce and goods directly available to PNP personnel.
The KNP program is part of a wider initiative to promote inclusive economic growth, food sustainability, and the well-being of frontline workers.
The partnership among the DA, PNP, and other stakeholders aims to ensure that police officers have access to quality food and essential items while simultaneously supporting local farmers and producers.
“This program is a win-win; it supports our local agriculture while giving our police force better access to basic needs,” Silvio said.
“We are proud to bring this closer to our personnel and their families,” he added.
