The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has reiterated that it will not lift the suspension of Yanna Motovlog’s driver’s license until the motorcycle she used during a viral road rage incident in Zambales is surrendered to its Central Office in Quezon City.
This condition is clearly stated in the resolution signed by LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Atty. Vigor D. Mendoza II, following the viral video involving Yanna Motovlog and a pickup driver.
On Friday, 23 May, Yanna appeared at the LTO Central Office to obtain a copy of the resolution, which includes penalties of P2,000 for reckless driving and P5,000 for operating a motorcycle without side mirrors.
LTO Intelligence and Investigation Division Chief Renante Melitante said Yanna met with agency officials and explained her absence at two scheduled hearings, citing security concerns and noting she was represented by legal counsel.
Melitante also told Yanna that the motorcycle must be surrendered due to suspicions that it is unregistered, as it lacked a license plate.
Though provided with the resolution, Yanna did not pay the imposed fines.
Mendoza stressed the importance of observing traffic laws and practicing discipline and courtesy on the road.
“Maliwanag ang bilin ng ating Pangulo na tiyakin ang kaligtasan ng lahat ng road users. Wala tayong palalampasin dito,” Mendoza said.
(The directive of our President is clear — to ensure the safety of all road users. We will not let anything slide here.)
