Marcos leads distribution of P83-M farm aid in Pangasinan


President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Friday commended the dedication of the nation’s hardworking agricultural workers as he led the distribution of P83.4 million worth of farm equipment and supplies to beneficiaries in Pangasinan.
Speaking to locals during the groundbreaking ceremony of the Lower Agno River Irrigation System project in Sta. Maria, Pangasinan, Marcos acknowledged the crucial role of farmers in putting food on every Filipino family's table and encouraged them to keep supporting the nation's agricultural development and food security..
“Ating patunayan na taglay natin ang diwa ng Bagong Pilipino — na may disiplina, may husay, at may pagmamahal sa bayan (Let prove our spirit of New Filipino with discipline, talent and love for the country),” the President said.
Marcos led the distribution of assistance to 7,645 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) and 292 agrarian reform beneficiary organizations (ARBOs) in Pangasinan, aimed to enhance agricultural productivity in the province.
“Kapit-bisig nating palakasin ang sector ng agrikultura at tiyakin na may pagkain sa hapag ng bawat Pilipino (Let's work together to boost our agricultural sector and ensure foods in every table of Filipino family)," he said.
The Department of Agriculture (DA) continues to distribute hybrid rice seeds, garden tools, and other farm inputs to beneficiaries.
Meanwhile, through the Department of Agrarian Reform’s (DAR) Climate Resilient Farm Productivity Support (CRFPS) Project, organic plant supplement packets were distributed to 5,600 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) and agrarian reform beneficiary organizations (ARBOs) in Pangasinan.
DAR also distributed 10 four-wheel drive tractors with implements and two multi-role power stations for the ARBOs.
Marcos led the ceremonial turnover of certificates for solar-powered irrigation pumps and supervised the Department of Agrarian Reform’s distribution of 10 four-wheel drive tractors with implements and two multi-role power stations to agrarian reform beneficiary organizations (ARBOs).
