Charly Suarez has already set up camp in San Diego, California, where his ambitious world title challenge takes place next week at the Pechanga Arena.
Posing as threat to the undefeated Filipino challenger’s mission is Mexican banger Emanuel Navarrete, who will be risking his World Boxing Organization super-featherweight title.
It seems everything is doing fine over at Suarez’s backyard and the only thing that stood out was the weather.
“It’s still a bit cold here,” Suarez’s chief trainer Delfin Boholst told DAILY TRIBUNE, noting the weather hovers between 12 to 18 degrees Celsius.
Before going to San Diego, Suarez and Boholst trained in Las Vegas where the weather was a bit warmer.
Suarez, 36, arrived in the United States last 21 April, oozing with confidence and bravado.
Even Top Rank head Bob Arum insists Navarrete shouldn’t be too cocky looking past Suarez.
“Navarrete is inconsistent,” said the Hall of Fame promoter.
And if he shows up on fight night not in top form, the seasoned Suarez is going to take full advantage.
