The local government of Quezon City has officially launched its Screen Commission after Mayor Joy Belmonte approved Ordinance No. SP-3382, S-2025. The move is considered a significant step in the city’s efforts to solidify its position as the Film and Entertainment Capital of the Philippines.
In a statement, the local government said that the ordinance aims to harmonize policies, programs and regulations related to the screen industry across Quezon City.
The goal is to foster an inclusive, collaborative, and sustainable ecosystem from the city level down to the barangays.
