Some 12,411 teachers will serve as members of the electoral board for the Davao Region in the 12 May elections, the Department of Education (DepEd) XI announced.
At Wednesday’s Davao Peace and Security Press Corps briefing at the Royal Mandaya Hotel, DepEd XI spokesperson Jenielito Atillo revealed that the deployment includes 11,132 Electoral Board members, 1,136 DepEd Supervising Officials, and 143 Boards of Canvassers.
He also reported a total of 22,378 established precincts and 4,189 clustered precincts in the region.
“For the Davao Region, there are 3,376,470 registered voters and 1,459 voting centers. We still wait for the final schedule on those who will be assigned in designated highland areas and schools before election proper. Our facilities are ready and our teachers are ready,” he said.
