The world’s leading cruise company, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, Ltd. (NCLH), will inaugurate its first clinic in the Philippines, catering to its beloved Filipino seafarers.

According to NCLH’s official manning agency partner, CF Sharp Crew Management, Inc., the NCLH Medical Clinic and Laboratory OPC (outpatient clinic) will be unveiled this Friday, 25 April, at the 19th Floor of Trium Building, Buendia, Pasay City, at 9 a.m.

“This marks a new chapter for NCLH. We dedicate this space to service and care,” the CF Sharp team told the DAILY TRIBUNE.

The blessing of the clinic will be officiated by Fr. Boy Saavedra of the Apostleship of the Seas.

Meanwhile, NCLH Medical Clinic and Laboratory OPC will be run by Dr. Carlos Gonzalez as chief medical officer, and Ela Cespedes as its senior manager for Medical Operations.

The clinic is said to be a state-of-the-art medical facility dedicated to delivering comprehensive pre-employment medical services, primarily for crew members assigned to vessels operated by NCLH.

Spanning 674 square meters of usable area, the clinic is strategically designed with fully compartmentalized departments to streamline the medical process and enhance operational efficiency.

These include dental, ultrasound, X-ray, optical, clinical laboratory, ECG, treadmill stress testing, drug testing area, audiometry, and psychological testing room.

Each department is equipped with modern medical technology and staffed by experienced, certified professionals across various specialties to ensure accurate assessments and exceptional care.

NCLH operates the Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises, and Regent Seven Seas Cruises brands.

With a combined fleet of more than 25 vessels with approximately 55,000 berths, the said brands offer itineraries to more than 450 destinations worldwide.

In 2019, the company said it would introduce 11 additional ships until 2027.

On the other hand, CF Sharp Crew Management, Inc. is touted as one of the leading suppliers of Filipino seafarers in the world.

“CF Sharp is at the top of the manning industry for one simple reason. We treat people with respect and dignity. Our business is relationship-driven, and our family values drive our culture of quality,” said Miguel Rocha, the president and CEO of CF Sharp Crew Management, Inc.
