Fort Ramon Magsaysay, Nueva Ecija — The Philippine Army’s Special Forces Regiment (Airborne) inaugurated newly constructed facilities at the Special Forces School inside Fort Magsaysay on 28 March 2025, the 7th Infantry “Kaugnay” Division announced.
According to a Facebook post by the division, the Special Forces Regiment marked the occasion with the groundbreaking of Drop Zone “Haribon,” the unveiling of a commemorative marker and the blessing of the new facilities at the school.
The infrastructures, built in partnership with the Department of Public Works and Highways, aim to enhance operational readiness and improve the training experience of Special Forces personnel.
It includes an amphitheater for training and recreation; the Courage and Determination Monument, symbolizing the school’s commitment to excellence and combat training; a consolidated mess hall to promote camaraderie; and Molave Hall, a versatile venue for events.
During the ceremony, Colonel Paulo F. Baylon, commandant of the Special Forces School, stressed the importance of these developments in enhancing training capabilities and preparing operators for roles supporting Territorial Defense Operations.
Baylon also expressed gratitude to Brigadier General Romulus Joseph P. Canieso PA, acting commander of the Installation Management Command, for his support in realizing the project.
