THE WISH HAS COME TRUE!
NCT WISH, the Japanese and final unit of K-Pop mega group NCT, granted the wishes of NCTzens as they delighted fans during a press conference on Friday at the Gateway Quantum Skyview in Araneta City.
The sextet — composed of Sion, Riku, Yushi, Jaehee, Ryo, and Sakuya — greeted Filo Wishzens with their iconic group greeting “To The World, Yeogin NCT” for the first time, thrilling fans as screams echoed throughout the venue.
“Filipino fans are really on another level,” Sion said. Sakuya added that although they felt nervous before stepping on stage, the energy of the fans quickly calmed their nerves.
What thrilled fans even more was a sneak peek of the choreography for their upcoming lead single Poppop, ahead of the release of their second mini-album of the same name scheduled for 14 April 2025.
“There are a lot of beautiful techniques, moves, and choreographies prepared for the mini album,” Riku said.
Jaehee shared that the track’s lyrics are about a very cute and pure love, which embodies NCT WISH’s image yet shows the group’s growth.
Ryo added that fans should look forward to the Poppop music video storyline, which he described as “interesting.”
The group also took on fun challenges, including Filipino tongue twisters and words that tugged at the heartstrings of fans.
They also shared their travel goals in the country — Jaehee wants to visit Boracay, while Sion and Ryo are eyeing Cebu.
NCT WISH will be making their debut performance in the Philippines on 12 April 2025 at the New Frontier Theater.
“We prepared so many nice and awesome stages for tomorrow,” Yushi said.
Ryo further expressed his wish to perform at the Philippine Arena, the country’s largest indoor stadium.
