The Commission on Elections (Comelec) and South Korean poll firm Miru Systems announced Thursday the establishment of the National Technical Support Center (NTSC) at the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX).

According to Miru Systems, the NTSC will serve as a dedicated call center for reporting and resolving technical issues during the midterm election.

Comelec Spokesperson Rex Laudiangco assured that all election-related concerns can be addressed by the NTSC.

"Ito po ay 24 hours operational. Multiple shifts po sila (It will be 24-hour operational with multiple shifts)," Laudiangco said.

It will be the primary contact point for election officers, support staff of the Department of Education, and technicians to report concerns about the election process.

Concerns related to automated counting machines, iOne Resources and Ardent Network’s Secure Electronic Transmission Services, or the overseas voting system managed by SMS Global Technologies, Inc. and Sequent Tech Inc. will also be addressed there, according to Miru Systems.

“As we approach Election Day, we remain committed to ensuring the integrity of the election process by providing comprehensive support,” Andrew Shim, project managing director of Miru Systems, said.

“This collaboration with the [Commission on Elections] and our partners allows us to swiftly address any issues, ensuring a seamless and credible election experience for all," Shim added.

He noted that with the National Technical Support Center and repair hubs in place, Miru Systems, in partnership with the poll body and other providers, aims to ensure that the 2025 elections are transparent, efficient, and secure for all voters and election personnel.

The centralized support structure aims to ensure transparency, accountability, and swift resolution of any technical issues that may arise during the election, Shim noted.

Miru Systems has also set up a network of 110 repair hubs across the country, equipped with a sufficient number of extra parts and peripherals to address any technical difficulties.

These hubs, supported by Miru’s team of experts, will be ready to provide on-the-ground assistance to maintain the smooth operation of the election process.
