First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos expressed her appreciation on Sunday for the artists who took part in the latest Goldenberg Mansion Concert Series, emphasizing the importance of celebrating culture through music.

The concert concluded with resounding applause on Friday night as violinist Kristine Clair “KayCee” Galano and pianist Inna Montesclaros delivered stirring performances in the historic halls of the Goldenberg Mansion in Malacañang.

“Another magical evening of music at the Goldenberg Mansion,” Mrs. Marcos said.

“Your music moved us and made the night truly special. Let’s continue to celebrate our culture through the power of music,” she added.

The evening featured a repertoire of classical pieces by renowned composers, including Camille Saint-Saëns, Antonín Dvořák and Henri Wieniawski.

Galano’s and Montesclaros’ compelling renditions drew praise from the audience, many of whom rose to their feet in appreciation.

The duo displayed masterful technique and musicality, performing virtuosic works such as Havanaise in E Major, Romance in F Minor and Polonaise Brillante No. 2, as well as a specially arranged solo violin version of the Filipino folk song, Bahay Kubo, arranged by José “Kabayao” Caballero.

The concert was attended by members of the Marcos family, including former First Lady Imelda Marcos and Irene Marcos-Araneta.

Organized by the Office of the Social Secretary, the Goldenberg Mansion Concert Series aims to foster cultural appreciation by highlighting the richness of Filipino musical talent.

Galano, a young acclaimed violinist who has performed at Carnegie Hall and in major international competitions, and Montesclaros, a decorated pianist and concert producer, brought both technical brilliance and emotional depth to the program, underscoring the concert series’ mission of elevating local artistry in a global context.
