
VICTORIA, Tarlac — The Department of Health (DoH) Central Luzon and the Jose B. Lingad Memorial General Hospital (JBLMGH) inaugurated the Bagong Urgent Care and Ambulatory Service (BUCAS), a JBLMGH Ambulatory Service and Multi-Specialty Center (JASMC) facility here on Friday.
DoH Central Luzon Center for Health Development Regional Director Corazon Flores together with JBLMGH Medical Center chief Dr. Monserrat Chichioco, and JASMC Victoria head Dr. Mervin Aquino, today, led the inauguration of the facility.
The Tarlac BUCAS facility is a DoH flagship program that offers a full spectrum of services designed to address both urgent and routine healthcare needs.
Among the services now readily available to the public are: General and Specialty Consultations in Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Surgery, Family Medicine and Dental Services; Minor Surgeries, which reduce the need for referrals to tertiary hospitals; Preventive Medicine, focusing on early detection, education, and lifestyle management; Laboratory Examinations to support diagnostics; Radiology Services, including X-ray and ultrasound, for accurate and timely assessment; Electrocardiogram services, especially crucial for monitoring heart health; and Ancillary Services such as a fully operational pharmacy that ensures easy access to prescribed medications
PhilHealth Area I North Luzon Vice President Mr. Walter Bacareza and Acting Vice President Mr. Henry Almanon, local officials, healthcare leaders, and community members gathered to witness the opening, each one acknowledging the milestone as not just a physical structure, but a realization of the DoH’s strategic focus on guaranteeing access to quality ambulatory (primary) care services in all settings.
