Actress Kathryn Bernardo put an end to speculations surrounding her relationship status during the recently concluded ABS-CBN Ball 2025, held on Friday, 4 April, at Solaire Resort North in Quezon City.
While walking the red carpet, Bernardo was candidly asked by host Gretchen Fullido about her love life.
“Tinatanong ng lahat. Are you single? Taken?” Fullido asked.
Without hesitation, Kathryn flashed a smile and responded, “I’m very happy, and yes, I’m still single.”
The actress recently made headlines after being linked to several personalities, including her Hello, Love, Goodbye and Hello, Love, Again co-star Alden Richards, and Lucena City Mayor Mark Alcala.
However, Kathryn’s mother, Min Bernardo, urged fans not to believe in circulating rumors—especially those claiming her daughter had reconciled with ex-boyfriend Daniel Padilla.
“Huwag kayong masyadong naniniwala sa mga—fake news,” she said in an interview with Tita Long, when asked to send a message to Kathryn’s supporters.
The statement came amid renewed buzz about Kathryn and Daniel’s past relationship. The former couple confirmed their breakup in 2023 through separate statements.
“Our love story began with respect and ended with respect,” Kathryn wrote in her announcement, emphasizing that the decision to part ways was mutual. She also expressed gratitude for the years they spent together, calling them unforgettable.
Padilla also released a separate statement regarding the split.
