A 58-year-old man was shot by a riding-in-tandem on Tuesday noon in Block 49 Barangay Longos in Malabon City.
Based on the spot report from Malabon City Police Chief Police Colonel Jay Baybayan, the suspects were riding a black motorcycle.
“The back-ride suspect alighted and approached the victim and pulled out an unidentified firearm and without any apparent reason, shot the victim twice in his face that resulted in his instantaneous death.”
Additionally, the suspects reportedly fled towards C4 Road in the direction of Navotas City.
Operatives from the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) recovered one bullet casing of a 9 mm bullet within the crime scene.
The victim, identified as Benjamin, was found to be a personal driver, however, his employer disclosed that he doesn’t know if the victim has any personal enemies.
Police investigations are still being conducted to determine the possible motives for the crime, and the identities of the assailants.
The Malabon City Police are conducting follow-up and manhunt operations to determine the whereabouts of the suspects.
