Pateros police arrested a rape suspect who attempted to evade capture by hiding.
On Friday at 1:30 p.m., personnel from the Pateros Municipal Police Station (MPS), led by P/Lt. Rodel M. Espiritu, along with the Naval Intelligence and Security Group (NISG), apprehended the top 1 most wanted person for the 1st Quarter of 2025 at Luna Compound, Sta. Ana, Pateros, Metro Manila.
The suspect, identified as alias “Ragrag,” a 30-year-old construction worker, was arrested based on a warrant issued by RTC Branch 262, Pasig City, on 14 March 2025, for rape by sexual assault (Criminal Case No. 162319-PAT) with a recommended bail of P120,000.
“Ragrag” was informed of his rights but chose to remain silent. He is currently detained at the Pateros MPS Custodial Facility. The Pateros police are preparing to return the warrant to the court of origin.
This arrest is part of ongoing operations by the Southern Police District, led by PBGen. Manuel J. Abrugena, aimed at apprehending wanted individuals and ensuring public safety.
