Founded by Max and Zelda Kienle in 1980, the household name is now managed by the second generation — their daughters, Stephanie Kienle Gonzalez and Jessica Kienle Maxwell. Focusing on craftsmanship and sustainable materials, the work is a fusion of traditional techniques with modern technology for pieces made to last.
Gonzalez, president and managing director, says, “Filipino craftsmanship has always been at the heart of Philux. We aspire to have a global mindset and simultaneously remain rooted in our homegrown values. We source consciously and foster partnerships with like-minded creatives.”
Through the decades, Philux retail has provided personalized curation, wherein clients select their desired furniture and choose among a diverse variety of materials. Meanwhile, Philux Contract develops collaborative partnerships with creatives, ensuring a bespoke approach that reflects individual style alongside the distinctive Philux design ethos.
