A 24-year-old man was arrested Tuesday afternoon while attempting to obtain a police clearance in Antipolo City, authorities said.
Antipolo Component City Police Station personnel served a warrant of arrest against the man, identified by the alias “Marvin,” a resident of Barangay Nayon, Antipolo City. The arrest occurred at approximately 3:50 p.m. at SM downtown in Antipolo City.
According to police reports, the man was attempting to secure a police clearance at the station when a background check revealed an outstanding warrant of arrest issued by the Mandaluyong City Metropolitan Trial Court Branch 101 for a local ordinance violation. Bail was set at P2,000. The man is currently detained at the Antipolo City Police Station’s custodial facility. The warrant of arrest will be returned to the issuing court.
