The Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) has revisited its approval of RE Resources Inc.'s (RERI) application to develop and operate a dedicated point-to-point transmission facility for its 34.37-megawatt Armenia Solar Power Project in Luzon.
The regulator said on Tuesday that it has directed its relevant Services to present the case again for resolution.
The application, initially approved during the ERC’s 1113th regular meeting on 26 November, was reevaluated due to inconsistencies in the draft decision.
Following deliberations, the ERC also ruled that a component of the project would not be classified as a transmission asset but as part of the dedicated point-to-point transmission facility.
Additionally, the total project cost of P353.8 million, including the power transformer, will serve as the basis for computing the permit fee.
RERI’s project involves connecting the solar power facility to the Luzon Grid via interim and final tap connections to the Concepcion-Camiling and Sta. Ignacia 69-kilovolt transmission lines operated by the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines.
