Cebu shares 5-M tourists in 2024

The Department of Tourism in Central Visayas (DoT-7) bared on Monday that domestic and foreign tourist arrivals in Cebu reached to 5,077,727 in 2024.

DoT-7 Regional Director Judy Gabato told DAILY TRIBUNE that the Cebu arrivals had 25.85 percent growth compared to 4, 034,638 tourists in 2023.

Of the 5,077,727, domestic tourists were recorded at 3,218,625 while foreign were pegged at 1,856,766 and overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) with 2,336.

The total tourist arrivals in Central Visayas for 2024 has reached 7,517,450 with 5,011,851 domestic, 2,456,325 foreign and 7,575 OFWs.

Bohol had 1,369,945 arrivals with 870,956 domestic, 495,345 foreign and 3,144 OFWs or 35.26 percent growth compared to 2023 of 1,012,854.

Negros Oriental had 828,249 arrivals with 768,116 domestic, 58,102 foreign and 2,031 OFWs or 207.64 percent growth compared to 2023 of 269,226.
