BINI member Aiah Arceta took to social media to address speculations about her relationship with Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) player Caelan Tiongson, who previously played for the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters.
Rumors began circulating after Arceta was spotted watching Tiongson’s game on 1 March 2025. A photo of the sighting spread online, fueling fan theories about their relationship status.
In a lengthy post on X (formerly Twitter), Arceta finally addressed the buzz.
“Hey hey hey, everybody! First of all, breathe. Inhale the good, exhale the bad,” she began.
“I am aware of what’s been happening lately, and honestly, it’s interesting to see how it’s become such a big deal for some, along with the multiple theories circulating about it. It’s fascinating to observe how quickly noise can grow and how many people can misunderstand so many things,” she wrote.
Arceta expressed frustration over how easily people speculate about her relationships.
“I’ve noticed that almost everyone I hang out with gets linked to me, whether they’re a friend, a superior, or even a relative. I usually ignore it because I know the truth behind all the noise. But this time, it hurts to see the people who make me feel safe and happy being ridiculed and made fun of online,” she explained.
She also voiced her sadness over the backlash her friends received due to these speculations.
“My friends have been a great help to me, especially lately, and they don’t deserve the hate. There are so many sides to a story that people don’t see, and I just hope we can all be kind to one another because kindness is free, and we all need it,” she added.
Ending her statement, Arceta encouraged her followers to spread love instead of hate.
“I hope and pray that all the negativity disappears and is replaced with love. Let’s all be kinder to one another,” she said.
She lightened the mood with a joke, adding, “Also, Honey said maybe he’ll be the next one in the headlines since he also enjoys watching dogs play. Hehe. Haha, anyway, nothing but love and no hate!”
Before Arceta’s statement, Tiongson also addressed the situation after receiving hate comments online.
In a now-deleted Instagram Story, the basketball star responded with grace.
“Praying for all those who spread hateful comments this morning,” he wrote.
“If you’d like to throw it my way, that’s fine! But my family, friends, and teammates don’t deserve it. Nevertheless, I hope you have a blessed day,” he added.
Despite their statements, some eagle-eyed netizens continue to speculate. Fans pointed out that on Instagram, Tiongson follows only one BINI member — Aiah. Meanwhile, Arceta also follows him back, further fueling dating rumors.
Aiah Arceta is a member of the P-pop girl group BINI, alongside Mikha, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Jhoanna, and Sheena. The group is known for hit songs such as Salamin, Lagi, Na Na Na, Huwag Muna Tayong Umuwi, and Pantropiko.
