Partnering with The Goldenberg Mansion, Salcedo Auctions’ gallery arm, Salcedo Private View, hosted an unforgettable by-invitation vernissage for a two-man exhibition titled Tapiserya, an off-site participation for Art Fair Philippines’ 2025 edition that features the works of Lynyrd Paras and Joel Geolamen. Like in previous Goldenberg Art Series exhibitions with a charity component, part of the proceeds will benefit the Girl Scouts of the Philippines.

The evening’s guest of honor, First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, led the ceremonial ribbon-cutting, together with Department of Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco, Department of Justice Undersecretary Margarita Gutierrez, Salcedo Auctions co-founders Richie and Karen Lerma and the featured artists. Right after, Lerma, together with Paras and Geolamen, guided the First Lady as she walked through the exhibition, taking in the artists’ exceptional works. 

It was a well-attended gathering with guests that included friends in government and media, the arts and culture community and esteemed collectors and connoisseurs. Upon arrival, they were ushered into the historic Goldenberg Mansion, an architectural gem that has hosted countless VIPs in the past as the official State Guest House, before making their way to the exhibition, which was installed at The Glass House. 

A Victorian-era-inspired conservatory, The Glass House provided the perfect backdrop to the featured artists’ works. Geolamen’s striking paintings of Indigenous textiles, seamlessly layered onto the terrains of their respective ethnic origins, stood in compelling dialogue with Paras’ powerfully rendered figures — each bearing the raw intensity of human emotion and fortitude. 

The evening also served as a prelude to exciting art events ahead, setting the stage for Salcedo Auctions’ The Well-Appointed Life sale on Saturday, ‘8 March to open its 15th-anniversary celebrations.
