GOT7’s leadernim, Jay B, made his much-anticipated return to Manila for his Tape: Re Load solo concert, held at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
A day before the first stop of his concert tour, he met with the press at the MOA Amphitheater.
During the press conference, Jay B playfully reflected on his growth, admitting that time has changed him — but in the best way possible.
“I am still cute,” he jokingly said. “I got old, but I’m more sexy.”
His cheeky yet confident statement sent Ahgases into a frenzy, proving once again that their beloved leader only gets better with age. He also revealed that Cloud Nine best represents him as an artist, further highlighting his artistic journey and evolution.
Jay B continues to make Ahgases proud as the steadfast leader of GOT7.
Since the group’s departure from JYP Entertainment, all seven members have been actively pursuing solo careers while reaffirming that GOT7 will always be a unit.
As fans say, “L7 or never, 7 or nothing, GOT7 forever.”
Jay B, in particular, has worked tirelessly to support the group, even securing the rights to their iconic sub-units.
Despite his efforts, Jay B humbly shared his thoughts on his leadership role:
“I am not the best leader, I’m just a member,” he said.
“I am just doing my best. I’m not thinking that because I am the leader, I should do this and that.” He added, “I think what matters is that the members trust me.”
Meanwhile, GOT7 made their long-awaited return with the release of their extended play (EP), Winter Heptagon.
Comprising nine tracks, the album marks their first new music in nearly three years and their first project under a partnership with major Korean label Kakao Entertainment.
GOT7 (갓세븐) is a seven-member South Korean boy group consisting of Jay B, Mark, Jackson, Jinyoung, Youngjae, BamBam, and Yugyeom.
