Floods submerge Albay, Sorsogon

Published on

Continuous rains brought by the shear line caused flooding in several roads and highways in Albay and Sorsogon.

In Legazpi City, roads in the capital area were affected by floods, making travel difficult, especially for small vehicles.

Mud-colored floodwater was seen rushing down along the roads in the town of Bacacay, based on photos shared by Albay Second District Representative Joey Salceda.

Meantime, Albay acting Governor Baby Glenda Ong-Bongao ordered an early dismissal from government work at 3:30 p.m. on Friday due to the continuous downpour.

Face-to-face classes were suspended in at least 18 towns in Albay, including Camalig, Legazpi City and Ligao City.
