Hive Modular, an emerging leader in sustainable prefabricated housing, has partnered with Alesea Inc., a KMC-affiliated company aiming to become the Philippines’ largest provider of branded villas, to develop up to 10 modular homes in Bohol, Central Visayas.
This collaboration represents a major step in offering high-end, eco-friendly short-term rentals to boost Bohol’s vibrant tourism sector.
The project, worth over P100 million, will feature Hive Modular’s Casita One45 model — a 45-square-meter home built with sustainability in mind.
Each unit will include one bedroom, a bathroom, a kitchen and a deck, with 80 percent of materials sourced locally.
These units will provide a unique blend of modern design and sustainable living, catering to visitors seeking premium accommodations.
This partnership also supports Alesea’s ambitious goal of launching 200 premium short-term rental homes in 200 weeks, making sustainable luxury stays more accessible across the country.
Alesea is backed by the founders of KMC, a leader in Philippine real estate, and Diamond Concept Inc., a top provider of premium architectural materials.
Their expertise reinforces Alesea’s vision and ensures the homes are built to high standards.
By combining Hive Modular’s expertise in scalable, sustainable housing with Alesea’s innovative hospitality approach, the project aligns with both companies’ commitment to delivering eco-friendly luxury accommodation.
This development comes at a time when Bohol’s tourism industry is booming, highlighting the potential for sustainable design to enhance the region’s appeal.
“La Union was just the beginning — this partnership will bring Alesea’s premium stays to Bohol, offering guests a new way to experience hospitality,” said Jethro Vasquez, co-founder and managing director of Alesea.
This collaboration sets a new benchmark for eco-conscious tourism in the Philippines, demonstrating Hive Modular’s expanding role in the modular housing market and its dedication to sustainable development in the country and beyond.
