A win for the girls! Bella Football Academy’s U12 girls’ team triumphed in the international girls' division at the CMC International Tournament in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Facing off against some of the region’s top teams — many with more experience in international competition — the Bella U12 girls’ team secured a remarkable victory.
This win is a significant milestone for the team, primarily made up of players born in 2014. It marked their first time competing in an international girls’ division. Previously, they had competed in mixed divisions, but this victory proves that the girls can compete on any stage—local, international, mixed, or all-girls.
“Their commitment to the sport and to each other has made all the difference,” the football club said in a Facebook post.
“We are grateful for every experience that has shaped us, and we remain committed to giving our girls opportunities to grow, learn, and compete at higher levels. Onwards we go!”
The team’s journey hasn’t been easy. Last year, they faced their first competitive challenge at the 7s league, where they fell short.
However, they bounced back in the same year, placing 4th in the Cup category at the Bangkok Supercup tournament. They also competed as an all-girls team in mixed divisions at local tournaments, securing several podium finishes.
Their triumph at the CMC Youth Football Tournament stands as a testament to their unwavering commitment to both the sport and each other as a team.
