
Two Chinese nationals were arrested in Parañaque City for selling unregistered medicines.
Criminal Investigation and Detection Group chief Brig. Gen. Nicolas Torre identified the suspects as Hu and Quan, who were arrested by the Detective and Special Operations Unit in a buy-bust operation at Concorde Village, Tambo, Parañaque City, around 12:45 a.m. last Friday.
Torre said the operation stemmed from intelligence reports.
He noted that police received a tip that a criminal group was allegedly involved in selling unregistered medicines distributed in various areas of the National Capital Region.
During the operation, authorities seized evidence related to their alleged illicit activities, including one genuine P1,000 bill; two boxes of OTC 999 — Ganmaoling Keli; 20 boxes of Glucophage — Metformin Hydrochloride Extended — release tablets; two boxes of Amlodipine Besilate tablets; three boxes of Linou — Gliclazide tablets; two boxes of OTC — Longdan Xiegan pills; four boxes of Zhibai Dihuang pills; one box of Bear Bile powder; 12 boxes of Diamicron — Gliclazide tablets; and 16 boxes of Bayaspirin — Aspirin Enteric — coated tablets, with an estimated market value of P15,000.
