The 37th Mango Tee Invitational, one of the country’s most prestigious member-guest tournaments, kicks off this Saturday at the Alabang Country Club in Muntinlupa.

The event will bring together close to 1,000 participants, including a stellar cast of celebrities from the worlds of sports, entertainment and politics, creating a truly exciting spectacle.

Leading the pack of celebrities are actor Derek Ramsay and multi-titled basketball coach Tim Cone, who are among the many stars participating in this highly anticipated two-round event, which will be played over eight days.

Ramsay, a single-digit handicapper, will team up with Donn Ang, while Cone will reunite with his long-time partner Fausto Preysler.

Also joining the field are actor Aga Muhlach and his daughter Atasha. Aga will pair up with Raffy David, while Atasha will team with Spencer Yu.

In addition, coach Jorge Gallent, a multiple-time club champion, will aim for the low gross title alongside Amos Kai.

DAILY TRIBUNE president Willie Fernandez will partner with former Energy Secretary Al Cusi, and athlete-turned-politician Monsour del Rosario will join forces with Gianpaulo Guidicelli.

Top junior golfer Lia Duque is also in the field, partnering with Siegfried Ramos.

Jacob Ang, son of San Miguel Corporation chairman Ramon S. Ang, will team up with Mary Jane Llanes, adding to the list of influential participants. Also entered but ineligible for trophies or fun hole prizes are professional golfers Sean Jean Ramos and Laurea Duque.

This year’s Mango Tee Invitational promises to be a thrilling event showcasing not just the skill of the players but also a prize pool worth millions of pesos. The stakes have never been higher.

“We are thrilled to welcome you all to the 37th Mango Tee Invitational!” said Robert Limcaco, chairman of the organizing committee. “This year’s tournament is set to offer a truly unique experience and is poised to be the most lavish of all invitationals hosted by any private club.”

For over three decades, the Mango Tee has been one of the premier golf events in the Philippines, and the 37th edition is poised to continue this legacy.

“The main thrust of the Mango Tee event is to showcase our club, and we are eager to present all our latest amenities and improvements,” said ACC president Paulino Cortez.

“We kindly ask for your support and understanding as we utilize a significant portion of our facilities — including the golf course, veranda area, ballrooms and garden lawn — for this much-anticipated events.”

ACC chairman Rafael Mapua thanked the support of the members, guests, sponsors and participants.

“Your participation and enthusiasm are what make our club truly special,” he said.
