Mikey Madison shared on Saturday a handwritten letter expressing her appreciation with her first Academy Award nomination for Best Actress in her latest lead role in Anora.
Alongside the letter are various photos, in which she described “photographs that made me smile.”
Madison posted the letter via a collaborative post in NEON’s and the film’s Instagram accounts.
Despite her growing fame, Madison stays grounded on her privacy by choosing to stay off social media.
“Thank you so much to the Academy for this recognition. I feel so honored, grateful, and as if I've been floating on a cloud all day!” her letter decorated with doodles read.
The rising actress said that she learned about her first Oscar nomination while watching Good Morning America in bed and immediately called her mom to share the news.
Her performance as a stripper, Ani, in Anora has earned critical acclaim, with the film securing six Oscar nominations, including one for Best Picture.
