Keylyn Trajano, the viral transgender beauty from Pampanga, announced on Friday via social media that she has decided to end her pageant journey for personal reasons.

In an emotional Instagram post, Trajano confirmed her withdrawal from the Miss Universe Pampanga 2025 competition hours before the coronation night.

“After much reflection, I have made the heartfelt decision to withdraw from the competition,” she wrote.

Trajano shared that her pageant experience has been transformative, offering her new perspectives and opportunities.

“This journey has been nothing short of incredible — filled with growth, inspiring connections, and an unwavering belief in the power of dreams and ensuring my community can finally be seen, heard, and uplifted. However, I’ve come to a point of understanding and acceptance: as much as my heart beats for this opportunity, my current commitments in business and corporate ventures demand my focus and presence,” she explained.

She also acknowledged societal barriers, stating, “And knowing that the country isn’t still ready for change, my stable avenues are things I cannot simply let go. It would also be unfair to myself and to my position’s responsibilities if I couldn’t give it my full dedication even as a mere applicant.”

Trajano described her withdrawal as a “graceful step back” while she focuses on fulfilling her purpose.

“Here’s to growth, balance, and knowing when to take a graceful step back. Thank you, Pampanga. This is not goodbye; I will always fight for the upliftment of my community. I hope my story of courage and bravery inspires many of you to follow your dreams and march to the beat of your own drum. There is nothing wrong with choosing a different path as long as it is one of purpose, kindness, and compassion,” she said, expressing her gratitude in Kapampangan.

In 2024, Trajano made headlines as the first transgender candidate to join the Miss Universe Pampanga competition, aiming to represent her town in Miss Universe Philippines.
