Contecon Guayaquil has elevated Ecuador’s banana export infrastructure with the opening of a state-of-the-art cold storage facility, strategically located within the Port of Guayaquil.
The newly unveiled Guayaquil Banana Gateway is the first on-dock cold storage hub in Ecuador, the world’s leading banana exporter. Developed in collaboration with Cool Carriers, the facility provides seamless cold chain continuity from cargo reception to shipment. This innovation significantly reduces waiting times, streamlines operations, and ensures that bananas arrive at their destinations in optimal condition.

In March 2007, ICTSI was awarded by the port authority of Guayaquil, Autoridad Portuario de Guayaquil (APG), a 20-year operating concession for the Container and Multipurpose Terminals in Guayaquil, Ecuador.
