Philex Mining Corporation (PMC) donated P200,000 to Barangay Ampucao in Itogon, Benguet as reward for 127 outstanding elementary and secondary students of the village during the village’s celebration of it 77th anniversary on 11 January.
Barangay leaders and other local officials thanked the company for celebrating the learners’ achievements.
As for PMC, the gesture reinforced its commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) by fostering greater motivation among students to strive for academic excellence.
Meanwhile, the Dualtech Training Center Foundation Inc. held a two-day work values seminar for 53 employees of PMC.
The seminar was intended to strengthen participants’ work ethic and improve their attitudes toward both life and work as well as to inspire positive change in them. The employees were taught deeper understanding of core values and how these values influence interactions with others in the workplace.
