Filipino music fans on social media over the weekend couldn’t help but notice a resemblance between BINI member Gwen Apuli and the newest Tawag Ng Tanghalan grand champion, Carmelle Collado, after the two posed for a photo together.

On Instagram, Collado shared a snap with Gwen, revealing that she bumped into the BINI member at one of ABS-CBN’s studios.

Gwen later reshared the photo on her own Instagram story, captioning it “Bicol Represent,” followed by a fist emoji, highlighting their shared regional pride.

Last Saturday, Collado delivered a powerful performance of Dianne Reeve's “Better Days,” earning a standing ovation and an impressive 98-percent grade from the judges.

Her outstanding performance secured her the title of grand champion for It’s Showtime’s school showdown edition of Tawag Ng Tanghalan.

Collado is no stranger to the limelight, having first gained recognition as a runner-up in The Voice Kids in 2019.
