Kevin Quiambao’s Korean Basketball League (KBL) debut did not go as planned after the Filipino import went down with an ankle injury in the Goyang Sono Skygunners’ 49-81 loss to the Seoul SK Knights.
Quiambao, a two-time University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Most Valuable Player, landed on the foot of Oh Se Keun after attempting a triple with 7:42 left in the second quarter.
The former De La Salle University star was never fielded for the rest of the match, finishing with six points and one rebound in his KBL debut.
The Skygunners fell to ninth place with a 9-20 win-loss record.
Meanwhile, Carl Tamayo posted 31 points in Changwon LG Sakers’ 86-82 win over Anyang Jung Kwan Jang Red Boosters last Saturday at Anyang Gymnasium.
