A female shabu seller was collared early Thursday morning by elements of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Holy Spirit.
QCPD acting director P/Col. Melecio Buslig Jr. identified the suspect as Nurjiya Akuk Muharram, a resident of Barangay Holy Spirit, Quezon City.
According to Buslig, Muharram was apprehended by operatives of the QCPD Station 6 (Batasan) led by P/Lt. Col. Romil Avenido inside her home when a poseur buyer was able to purchase from her a gram of shabu at around 5:30 a.m.
Seized from her were 900 grams of shabu with a street value of P6,120,000.
Avenido told DAILY TRIBUNE that they had been tracking Muharram, who, according to their informant, is responsible for the proliferation of shabu in the area.
