Devotees joining Traslacion urged to bring IDs, face mask

The administration of Quiapo Church urged devotees joining the Traslacion or the procession of the Jesus Nazareno to bring government-issues identification (ID) cards and face masks.

It also announced the following:

  • Know the positions of health and rescue team for emergency needs

  • Be alert on suspecting people, events, and things

  • Don’t bring crackers and deadly weapons

  • Don’t join the Translacion drunk

The Quiapo Church also advised devotees to avoid climbing onto the Jesus Nazareno andas or carriage.

Devotees are also encouraged to bring a clear plastic bag for their trash.

The Feast of the Jesus Nazareno is celebrated annually every 9 January and millions of devotees take part in religious procession or “Traslacion.”
