Socialite Jocelyn Wildenstein, known for her numerous plastic surgeries, has passed away at 84.
The Swiss-born figure reportedly succumbed to a pulmonary embolism on New Year's Eve in Paris. Her longtime partner, fashion designer Lloyd Klein, confirmed the news to AFP on Tuesday, describing her as an "icon who has left us."
Klein initially stated that she was 79 at the time of her death, but other sources reported that she was 84. He also mentioned that early medical reports indicated heart failure as the cause of death, and that she passed peacefully in her sleep.
Born Jocelyne Perisset, Wildenstein rose to fame as a prominent socialite after marrying billionaire art dealer Alec Wildenstein in 1977. Their 20-year marriage was marked by struggles, culminating in a highly publicized divorce in 1999 that drew widespread media attention to the lives of the ultra-wealthy.
Wildenstein was known for undergoing numerous cosmetic procedures, including facelifts, eye and lip surgeries, cheek and chin implants, and filler injections, primarily to achieve a feline appearance.
She is survived by Klein and her two adult children.
