CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — Depression triggered by a quarrel with his live-in partner and the absence of his one-year-old son on Christmas day drove a father to commit suicide last Thursday evening.
Police identified the victim as Clint Pajo, 25, jobless, a resident of Zone 4, Barangay Bayabas, in this city.
According to the victim’s brother, Mark Anthony, Clint was found hanging inside their house late Thursday evening after his live-in partner left him following a quarrel before Christmas.
He said Clint was last seen alive Thursday morning before he left for work that day.
Upon returning home, Clint locked himself inside his room. When Mark Anthony and their father forced the door open, they found Clint hanging with a rope around his neck. Their father immediately cut the rope but Clint was already dead.
Mark Anthony said Clint was clutching a diaper of his son.
“My brother was longing to see his son on Christmas day but his wife left him taking the baby boy with her,” he said.
