South Korean singer and actress IU embraces the true meaning of Christmas by donating 500 million KRW (approximately 340,000 USD) under the name “IUaena,” a combination of her stage name and fan club Uaena, her agency EDAM Entertainment announced on 25 December.
The donation will benefit organizations such as Seoul Asan Medical Center, Seoul Child Welfare Association, Together Smiling World, and Warm Accompaniment.
The warm gesture is set to aid elderly patients, youth transitioning out of foster care, housing improvements for underprivileged communities, and customized facilities for individuals with disabilities.
IU is known for consistently sharing kindness during meaningful occasions, including anniversaries, birthdays, and holidays.
In September, she celebrated her 16th debut anniversary with a 25-million KRW donation under the same “IUaena” name.
