On Christmas Eve, NCT’s Jaemin spread kindness by donating 100 million KRW ($68,770.12) to UNICEF Korea under the name of his fan club, "NCTzen Dream." The proceeds came from his first solo photo exhibition, "Narcissism: Jaemin First Exhibition," held in June.
The donation will support children worldwide affected by harsh winters due to war and natural disasters. Jaemin shared, “I wanted to give back the precious love from my fans by doing something meaningful together.”
UNICEF Korea’s Secretary General Jo Mi Jin expressed heartfelt thanks to Jaemin and his fans for their meaningful holiday gift. Jaemin previously collaborated with UNICEF Korea in 2018, supporting music education for underprivileged children in Vietnam.
After 3 years of training, Jaemin debuted on 25 August 2016 as a member of NCT’s sub-unit NCT Dream, which has become one of South Korea’s best-selling groups. He serves as the center, lead rapper, lead dancer, and sub-vocalist of the group.
Interestingly, Jaemin’s journey to stardom began with community service—he was scouted by SM Entertainment while accompanying his mother during a volunteer activity.
