Adorned with magnificent Christmas displays and surrounded by classic Pinoy delicacies and free carnival rides, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. opened the gates of Malacañang to the public for the traditional Misa de Gallo and Simbang Gabi.
The Palace grounds are open to the public from 16 to 23 December from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. for the yuletide festivities featuring live music, food and rides.
With the theme “Tara sa Palasyo” (Let’s go to the Palace), the public is also invited to participate in the Misa de Gallo or dawn masses from 4 a.m. to 5 a.m.
Christmas kakanin, or delicacies such as bibingka and puto bumbong, and hot chocolate are available from 5 a.m. to 6 a.m.
The public can also enjoy carnival rides such as the space rocket, mini pirate ship, carousel and trackless train. Games such as Claw Machines and basketball arcade may also be enjoyed.
Earlier this month, Marcos led the Christmas tree lighting at the Kalayaan Grounds in Malacañang. During the event, he wished for Filipinos to feel the spirit of the holidays despite the challenges they have faced in the previous months.
