Iloilo City Mayor Jerry P. Treñas has officially declared Roel Zabala Castro, President and CEO of MORE Power, as an "Adopted Son of Iloilo City." The recognition, formalized through Executive Order (EO) No. 162, highlights Castro’s significant contributions to the city’s development.
According tot he EO, under Castro's leadership, Iloilo’s power distribution infrastructure has been revitalized, ensuring a more stable and efficient energy supply. His efforts have fostered partnerships between MORE Power and local government units, advancing economic growth and environmental sustainability in the region.
Mayor Treñas emphasized that the title reflects the city’s gratitude for Castro's invaluable service and his embodiment of Iloilo’s spirit of progress and unity.
This recognition comes shortly after MORE Power announced in October that Castro was elected President of the Iloilo Economic Development Foundation Inc. (ILEDF), further solidifying his role in driving Iloilo’s economic and social advancement.
