A quick goal from Chandler McDaniel in the first half was enough for Stallion Laguna FC to beat Kaya FC-Iloilo, 1-0, in the final of the PFF Women's Cup late Monday at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium.
McDaniel fired a screamer as early as the second minute of the match for the only goal of the game.
Kaya had a chance to force extra time in the seventh minute of added time but Shelah Mae Cadag's tap-in went wide as the referee whistled to end the game.
This is Stallion's first-ever trophy in the women's division.
McDaniel was named as the Most Valuable Player of the tournament.
"It's so sweet. There's no feeling like it. I'm proud of our whole team," McDaniel said.
Olivia McDaniel of Stallion was hailed as the Best Goalkeeper of the tournament while Jullisa Cisneros was given the Best Scorer honors.
Hali Long of Kaya was named as the Best Defender while Katrina Wetherell of Stallion was named the Best Midfielder.
Manila Digger FC was named the 2nd runner-up in the competition while Tuloy FC was given the Fair Play award.
