Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla, demonstrating his steadfast commitment to the principles of the Bagong Pilipinas governance model, has once again led the Department of Justice (DoJ) to new heights, achieving a 100 percent resolution and compliance rating in the latest scorecard from the Office of the President's Citizens' Complaint Center (Hotline 8888).
The DoJ, based on the 8888 Agency Statistics, received 205 tickets/concerns and has resolved all of them within the 72-hour prescribed period from 1 January to 31 October.
The 8888 Citizens' Complaint Center was established as a platform for citizens to report complaints and grievances regarding red tape or corruption in any national government agency, government-owned or controlled corporation, government financial institution, or any government instrumentality.
"Guided by the principles of a Bagong Pilipinas, this is another remarkable accomplishment for the DoJ which is a testament that we are serious about delivering justice for all in real-time," Remulla said.
The Department of Justice Action Center, under the direct supervision of Undersecretary Margarita N. Gutierrez and Program Director, Assistant State Prosecutor Joan Carla Guevarra, serves as the Department's focal unit for handling 8888 concerns and complaints.
