One of the most anticipated halftime game performances in the world is just around the corner, with the National Football League announcing that Usher will be this year's performer for the Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show.

The Finals will occur at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on 12 February at 7:30 a.m (Philippine Standard Time).

"It's an honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list. I can't wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they've seen from me before," the multi-awarded singer said in a statement provided to CBS Sports.

Usher will also release his ninth studio album, Coming Home, on the 12 February, the same day as his NFL halftime performance. Coming Home will be his comeback album after "Hard II Love," which was released in 2016.

Post Malone is set to perform during the Super Bowl pregame show. With him will be country music icon Reba McEntire and Andra Day.

McEntire is set to perform the national anthem, Malone will sing "America the Beautiful" and Day will perform "Lift Every Voice and Sing."

Last year's Super Bowl featuring the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles Super recorded 113 million viewers. The highest number of viewers was recorded in 2015, with a whopping 114.4 million viewers.

The Kansas City Chiefs will visit the Baltimore Ravens, while the Detroit Lions will see the San Francisco 49ers. Both matches are set to be played on 29 January at 4 am and 7:30 am, respectively (Philippine Standard Time). The winners from the series will play in the Super Bowl on the 12th of February.
